Days Filled with Love and Passions, Nights with Non-Stop Action
Gave my first best man speech last week for Casperone’s wedding. All things considered, I thought it came out alot better than I thought it would. Posted it here so I can refer back to it if I have to make another speech in the future.
Good afternoon everyone. First I wanted to thank the parents and families… the (casperwife’s parents). And thank you also to the (casperone’s parents). It’s not too hard to spot you guys in this wedding.
Well, my name’s (frankNbeans) and I’d like to say what an honor it is for me to be N’s best man. Honestly, I think all of these guys up here should get some credit since we’ve all had our share of putting up with N through the years.
I first met N during my freshman year in college and we’ve been friends since… so I guess it’s been like 14 or 15 years or so now. And having known him for almost half of my life, I can truly say he’s one of the best friends a guy can ask for.
Personality-wise I’m sure we all know how N can get a bit annoying and emo at times, but as a friend, N’s as good as they come. The loyalty and dedication that N has put into our friendship was more than I could have ever expected. And as a person he’s probably one of the most giving people you’ll ever meet.
Like just the other day I asked him. So Casperone… actually it’s Casperone since this conversation happened over AIM…
(((make typing motion)))) So Casperone… What’s the one, most important thing that you want to see happen at your wedding? And he said to me “I just want to make sure J is happy and I’m excited that we can celebrate it with all of the friends and family that we love.”
Personally, I thought that was pretty lame, but I think we can all admit that that was a very N-like thing to say. Things like that help you to appreciate the kind of guy that N is.
He’s selfless and always willing to put the people he loves ahead of himself. Knowing all these things about N, I think we can all see how much of a devoted, caring and loving husband he’ll be to J.
Hey, who would have thought that such a serious and loving relationship would develop between these two kids when they first met. I actually had a little story I was going to tell about how they met and stuff but then N asked me not to get too much into detail.
(((make typing motion)))) So I can’t really get into too much detail about how or where they met but there was alot of this going back and forth.
Anyhow N, I wish you the best of luck with your new wife and hopefully she’ll let you wear the pants sometimes. And J, best of luck with N and all of his Star Trek stuff, and comics, and 130 gigabytes of porn.
With that, can I have everyone raise their glasses. N and J, may all your days be filled with love and passion and your nights be filled with non-stop action.
