GG - Used when you’re saying “nice try” or “it’s over”.

  • I drank 5 shots of JW in the first 15 minutes of the party and after that, it was GG.
  • Shit, her cockblocking friend came along… GG.

Originally from online gaming, short for “good game”.  Started as as show of sportsmanship at the end of the game which evolved to become a form of cockiness and said in the middle of a game to say that the opponent should just give up.

I tried to explain this phrase to my friend Jennifer and she told me she understood.  Then she proceeded to give me some examples of its uses

  • U thought u won but i did…gg?
  • FrankNbeans, I hate gg!

I don’t think she gets it yet.  Umm… yeah Jennifer, GG.
