So who here likes Chinese Food?  I know I sure do.  I don’t like it all the time, but it’s especially good when it’s lunch hour during work and you can’t think of anything in particular to eat.

Now there’s this one really good place called Chen’s Gourmet that’s kind of near my work.  It’s a few blocks away but those four blocks of walking is totally worth it.  I think we’ve been going there for about two or three years now and I’ve always eaten every last bit of my $5 lunch specials.

So my coworkers and I were trying to figure out what to get today and since none of us could decide on anything, we headed over to good ‘ol Chen’s Gourmet.

As we’re walking the four blocks from our office, we’re having a giddy little conversation about what tasty lunch special each one of us is going to order.  Beef and Broccoli?  General Tso’s?  Shrimp and Garlic Sauce?  The list just goes on and on with an endless combination of juicy meats and fresh vegetables.

As soon as we turned the corner at Second Avenue, something didn’t feel right.  The three of us just stopped dead in our tracks.  Wait a minute.  Chen’s is supposed to be right here, where did it go?  Why are the gates down?

So we slowly approached the gates of the store that should have been our favorite kingdom of tasty deliciousness and this is what we saw.

MMmmmm… yummy.
